Patti Miller, a wife and mother of three, was born and raised in Fairhope, Alabama. She is a 1989 graduate of Auburn University where she received her BFA in visual art. For the past 16 years Patti has worked in a variety of fields including early childhood development, graphic arts and publications, the food industry, and office management.
Patti, George, her husband of 20 years and their three children, Emily, Kacey and Colby live in Fairhope and are members of Redeemer Lutheran Church where Patti leads the Youth and Children's Choir and George plays the organ.
Patti says of her work. "My art is a response to the grace and mercy my Lord has shown to me. My hope is that the images I create reflect the love Christ gives to us all. My purpose for them is to point others to the faith and hope that lies in the work of Christ upon the cross. The cross is such a powerful symbol for me. It is where my life is found. It is central to the message of hope and salvation for us all and therefore I am daily drawn to it and my only response can be to paint and always give thanks to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." |
